The San Francisco Giants take on the St Louis Cardinals in a tribute to the Negro Leagues and baseball legends like Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Satchel Paige, Bill Greason and more! This was a bucket list, once-in-a-lifetime experience! "Rickwood Field, located in Birmingham, Alabama, is the oldest professional baseball park in the United States. It opened on August 18, 1910, and was the home field for the Birmingham Barons and the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro Leagues. Rickwood Field was built by industrialist Rick Woodward, who designed it with the help of Philadelphia Athletics manager Connie Mack. The park hosted numerous historic games and events, including Negro League World Series games and exhibitions featuring baseball legends such as Satchel Paige and Willie Mays. Over the years, Rickwood Field has seen various renovations and restorations to maintain its classic early 20th-century charm. Although the Birmingham Barons moved to a new stadium in 1987, Rickwood Field still hosts special events, including the annual Rickwood Classic, which brings professional baseball back to this historic venue. Today, it serves as a living museum and a symbol of Birmingham's rich baseball heritage."
