I originally offered him $5 and he countered with $25. We eventually settled on $7 but I left feeling like he should’ve paid me to take it since it was in such bad condition 😂😂😂 I was honestly stunned how well it came out! Here’s how I restored it 👇🏼 + sanded off old finish with 120 grit & scraped with carbide scraper + filled chipped veneer with plastic wood filler + applied 2x coats of oil based wipe on polyurethane (wipe off any excess, sand lightly with 220 grit in between coats) + hid repairs with blendal sticks + sealed repairs with satin lacquer Ta-daaaa!! An easy beginner friendly DIY for restoring wood furniture and veneer!! Nothing against paint, I just suck at it and it tends to devalue furniture.
