What would Virtual Boy Donkey Kong Country (DKC Virtual Boy Port), Super Mario World port for Sega Game Gear and Super Wario Land (Virtual Boy Wario Land port) be like? In this special video also made to celebrate the anniversary of these three classic games, I reimagine them on different consoles. I don't really know the limitations of this console but I did a simulation on the fly. Gameplay The gameplay would be Donkey Kong Land style, but with Donkey and Diddy Kong present. Some new collectibles would be seen during gameplay. Credits VG Music for the midis used in the project. I ripped and redid the sound effects myself for the Virtual Boy version. The midi songs were remixed by me. Super Mario World for Sega Game Gear Animation started and completed on 11/22/2023 This would be an unusual port, which would be more like an adaptation for the Sega Game Gear. It would take the same direction as the Sega Master System and Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog, which is like a Land version of the main version on the Sega Genesis (Sega Mega Drive). A new story, new levels, new way to play on the map, a shorter game and new level themes. I reused the sprites from my Super Mario Bros. 4, with the exception of Bowser. Super Wario Land (Virtual Boy Wario Land SNES port) Animation started and completed on 11/21/2023 A port of one of the best Virtual Boy games, which started as a Mario game but became a Wario game. Virtual Boy Wario Land would be a perfect game to use with Super FX and Mode 7. Created by Nintendo R&D1, the SNES version would also have to be created by the same group, but this time adding colors and sampled instruments. I ripped the sprites from the original game myself and restored Wario's rendering from the game's title, recoloring every detail and adding shadows so that it would look something similar to Donkey Kong Country 3. The Game Gear and Virtual Boy instruments are not theirs. These are Namco's arcade instruments. Super Wario Land uses mixed soundfonts like Tetris Attack. Donkey Kong Country's DPCM sounds were made in Famitracker because it resemble the way are used in Virtual Boy. The DKC logo with zoom is a giant sprite that I made so that I could do the zoom effect. When the name of Nintendo and Rare appears, the background image appears on the entire screen and the sprite disappears, making the illusion of being the same image. The coin from the Super Mario World GG port was reused to make the mushroom and also the TNT that Cranky plays in VB DKC. I used a technique to save memory with the same object. Suggestions Which Mario, Donkey Kong or Wario game would you like to see in other ways? I'm accepting some suggestions. I've already thought about a Virtual Boy Donkey Kong Land, which tells a new story different from the Game Boy version and even the possibility of me trying to reimagine the "Virtual Boy Advance", but I can't promise.
