Shakespeare in Detroit's teaching artist, Steve, showcases warm-ups and safety rules or protocol for stage combat. Summary of the rules/warm-ups to keep you safe in class or at home: 1. Warm-up (see video for examples) 2. Wear closed toe shoes 3. Stay hydrated (drink water) 4. Do NOT improvise 5. Maintain eye contact 6. Perform as rehearsed or taught (be consistent) 7.
