In this video the general shape of a sail is discussed and reasons are presented for why it is beneficial to introduce curvature into the shape of a sail. More formally, key points including: the Leading Edge, Trailing Edge, and Point of Maximum Draft are located on a section-view of a sail. A number of parameters which define the shape of a sail are also presented including: Chord Length, Draft Depth, and the Draft Position. Sail Twist is explained and shown from a top and rear-view, as well as in three sections of a sail from top to bottom.
