Mazda crashes in Los Angeles Riverbed after high-speed pursuit - Rotator Recovery. What a quick and fun job this turned out to be, made easy with my 3M Delta Bosun Chair Harness. This Mazda flew off the freeway (101 North at Vine) and crashed through the guardrail, landing upside down in the LA riverbed. We chose Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator, due to the tag axle and better turning radius. Space was tight, but we made it work. Once setup, the job was relatively easy. BA car recovery straps to the main lines, then up and over. Of course, the hardest part was me not looking scared when being lifted back over the wall!
