When you're running a brick and mortar bakery, you're gonna want to look for a spot that has specifically a lot of people coming in and coming out. The closer you are to more and more people and the more busier it is, the higher the rent's gonna be. Cost of equipment ranges from $1,200-$4,000 depending on how much space you have. Discounts can be found by looking at used or slightly used equipment. If you're just starting out doing this, try to find used equipment. From lighting to furnishings to fixtures, painting, a floor, you may have to put a new floor down. The prep table was about $3,000 just for that one table, and that was brand new. You've gotta have these different things in place for your customers to actually take the product and eat it. These are things you'd have to invest in. Number five is gonna be insurance. You need to have also any permits that the city or county that you're particularly building in, they may require certain permits that you have to register with them every single year.
