I’ve been wanting to cover this song for years! This ost, and this song in particular, brings me such nostalgia. I wasn’t sure how I’d approach it back then, so it stayed on my list for a long time. After posting the Lost Woods cover, and picking the next one, this song popped up in my mind and I decided to revisit it! I just knew the original is so cool, and realized I wanted to keep the sense of space (no pun intended) like the original. I recorded a lot of vocals and sounds but also tried to keep them subtle. I also tried to theme the titles in this video with those seen in the game. ^^ Kenji Yamamoto did an amazing job composing this eerie song, and both he and Minako Hamano composed a great soundtrack for Super Metroid.
