This is the new 18V LXT Brushless Rivet Gun from Makita. There are 2 models available, the XVR01 and XVR02 which I have here. They come available as a bare tool, like this, or as part of a kit with two 18V 5Ah batteries, a rapid charger, and this really nice case. These things are powerful, capable of pulling non-structural aluminum, steel and stainless steel rivets up to 6.4mm in diameter with up to 20 Kilonewtons of pulling force. A set of nose pieces and jaw pushers come with each tool to allow for the use of different rivet sizes and are clearly marked on the nose for quick reference. Since you are untethered you can bring these tools anywhere in the shop without worrying about tripping over airlines. Their long stroke allows the LXT Rivet Tool to quickly set rivets in a single pull, providing rapid tact times and high quality fastening of materials. A retention nose keeps the rivets in place once inserted, eliminating the hassle and safety concerns that are associated with keeping your fingers close to the working surface.
