Bird Watching at Chupi - Kasthashali Bird Sanctuary, Purbasthali, Burdwan || Nikon P900 & Canon M200

On 7th February we went for Bird watching in Chupi Kasthashali Pakhiralay at Purbasthali. The place place is well connected with roads and railway from Kolkata. We took the morning 8 AM Howrah Katwa Local from Howrah station. Ticket was ₹ 25 per head and time taken to reach Purbasthali was 2 hours 30 minutes. After reaching the station we took a battery operated toto to Chupi for ₹20 per head. Distance from station was 6.5 kms and takes around 20-25 minutes. Once we reach Chupi, we came across two government controlled accommodation. Also came across few home stays on our way to Chupi. You can explore the Kasthashali bird sanctuary on hand rowing boats for Rs. 150 per hour. maximum 4 person can take a ride at a time. You will come across different species of birds there and it is recommended to have a high zoom camera to capture them from distance. Red Crested Pochard, Common Kingfisher, White Breasted Kingfisher, Great Egret, Purple Heron, Wagtail, Lapwing, Bitten, Black Drongo, Cotton Pygmy duck, Little Grebe, Spamhen and many more kinds of birds were spotted that day.
