Having kept making sounds incorporating Korea’s unique style, spirit, and joy, Traditional Music Group Sat is focusing on reinterpreting traditions to renew, popularize and globalize them so that the music can resonate with the contemporary listeners. ---------- [곡소개 Work Description] 경기濃 / 전통음악집단 ‘샛’ 구성 Gyeonggi Nong /compiled by traditional music group ‘sat’ 경기 지역의 대표적인 민요 〈방아타령, 긴아리랑, 구아리랑, 천안도삼거리,닐리리아,창부타령〉을 노래 반주 형태가 아닌 기악 합주곡으로 재구성하여 민속악에 대한 깊은 음악적 고민을 나눠온 ‘샛’의 어울림이 담긴 무대로 선보인다. Sat presents a stage revealing their deep meditation on folk music with this instrumental ensemble, not as the usual accompaniment to the songs, of some classic Gyeonggi folk songs including Bang-ah taryeong, Gin-arirang, Gu-arirang, Cheonandosamgeori, Nilniria, and Changbu taryeong. ---------- [출연자 Performer] 장구(Janggu instrument) 이민형(Lee min-hyung) 대금(Daegeum instrument) 변상엽(Byun sang-yeop) 해금(Haegeum instrument) 문새한별 (Mun sea-han-by) 피리(Piri instrument)이찬우(Lee chan-woo) 가야금(Gayageum instrument) 추현탁 (Choo hyeon-tak) 아쟁(Ajaeng instrument) 윤겸 (Yoon kyum) [장소 Location] 연미정(Yeonmijeong) 1244년 이전에 건립된 인천광역시 유형문화재 제24호이다. 한강과 임진강이 합류하여 한 줄기는 서해로, 또 한 줄기는 강화해협으로 흐르는데 모양이 마치 제비꼬리 같다 하여 연미정(燕尾亭)이라 이름 붙었다고 한다. Built before 1244, the pavilion is Korea’s Tangible Cultural Property No. 24 located in Incheon. Hangang River and Imjingang River join before flowing to the West Sea and the Ganghwa Strait, whose scenery reminds viewers of the shape of a swallow’s tail, providing an inspiration for the pavilion’s title Yeonmi (meaning “the tail of a swallow”).
