Mauritius - Climbing Pieter Both Mountain 4K Climbing the most amazing mountain on the island of Mauritius. Pieter Both, sometimes referred to as Peter Botte Mountain, is the second highest mountain of Mauritius, at 820 meters. It is named after Pieter Both, the first Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies. It is located in the Moka Range. The notable feature of this mountain is the gigantic rock formation at the very top of it, which resembles a human head. I managed to climb to the top of the mountain twice in a few days. On the first ascent, I was not very lucky and at the top I was caught by thick clouds blocking the view. #mauritus
