Automatic Climate Control Operation

On the road, comfort is king! You don’t want to have to worry about re-adjusting the heat or air conditioning. That’s the beauty of the Automatic Climate Control system available on select Kia models – it does the work for you: Just set your preferred temperature and the system does the rest. Let’s take a look: For variable automatic operation on select Kia models, press the AUTO button and the system will start the air flow in the high setting. Press AUTO again for the medium setting… And once more for the lowest air flow setting. Then rotate the dial to select your desired temperature. The AUTO setting automatically controls the air flow modes… fan speed… and air intake based on the temperature you selected. On other Kia models, the AUTO button has only one air flow mode. Both the driver and front seat passenger can set the temperature to their preferred setting… Or you can press Sync and the system will synchronize the driver and passenger temperatures. You can also select where the airflow is distributed: Face level… Both at face and floor level… Floor level only… And floor and defrost level. Now, if you want to defrost the front windshield, set the fan speed to the highest position… Set the temperature to hot… And press the Front Defrost button. Be aware that the defrost mode activates the air conditioning and opens the fresh air vents to help dehumidify the air and improve defroster performance. Select Kia models also have an Auto Defogging System that automatically senses the moisture on the windshield and switches on as needed to keep the windshield clear. Auto Defogging System is on by default every time the vehicle is started. A couple things to be aware of: Pressing any button during Auto operation will deactivate the Auto function of the button that was pressed, and switch back to manual mode, except when you are adjusting the temperature. Select Kia models also offer Tri-Zone Climate Control, so the rear cabin can be controlled separately. And pressing the Sync button synchronizes all climate control zones – driver, passenger, and rear. When it comes to comfort and convenience, the Automatic Climate Control system (on select Kia models) is one of the “coolest” features. For additional information on the Automatic Climate Control System, please refer to your owner’s manual, the Features & Function Guide for your vehicle or the Kia Features & Functions Videos YouTube channel. Thanks for watching.
