Installing a new rawhide cover on a historic handmade Hawaiian saddle tree.

Restoration of old saddles is a passion of mine. This handmade tree was in good condition, but needed a new rawhide cover. Over the years, I’ve had difficulty finding any content on how to rawhide a tree. So I am sharing my process from start to finish. I am a hobbyist, and not a professional at rawhiding trees. A pro will be much faster and more efficient. But the finished product was good, and very satisfying to accomplish.
