Isaac quick tips - How to drop consumables strategically?

How to drop pickups? Why even drop them in the first place? Dropping cards, trinkets, pills, runes and other pickups or consumables is something we tend to overlook, but it can actually have a lot of strategic value when trying to win or break the game. A lot of players thinks dropping consumables is just a convenience thing and besides the obvious play of replacing a "bad" pickup with a "good" pickup, it actually has a lot of other uses as well. The first less obvious use of the drop command is dropping valuable cards or runes that you want to save for later floors when they're gated by curse rooms. Instead of going into the curse room, finding a rune there and having to retrace your steps, effectively taking double the damage, you can drop your rune or card before you enter it. This way, you get to bring both of your runes or cards outside where you can use utilise them for the rest of your floor. A second, less obvious use of dropping items, which is very helpful when trying to break the game, is to use the drop command as a way to transfer trinkets, runes, pills and other pickups or consumables into some central location, preferrably the shop, as it already contains some other consumables or pickups as well. As you do this, you may explore the rest of the floor and keep bringing any consumable you find back to that central room. If you happen to stumble upon a rune like Jera, Black Rune or Blank Rune, you may utilise it to effectively double every other pickup you've gathered in the room.
