Simón (2023) is written, produced and directed by Diego Vicentini. This is actually his feature film debut, inspired by a short film he did previously. A story based on true events that depicts the fight for Venezuelan freedom. Simón, a young freedom fighter who faced off against the Venezuelan regime, escapes to Miami and tries to obtain political asylum before he is forcibly sent back home. As time runs out, Simón is faced with the choice to permanently stay in the safety of the United States or risk his life going back home to fight alongside his people. Here's my review! Se trata de su largometraje debut, inspirado en un corto que filmó previamente. La historia está basada en hechos reales que reflejan la lucha por la libertad en Venezuela. Simón, un joven que lucha por la libertad enfrentándose al régimen venezolano, escapa a Miami y trata de obtener asilo político antes de verse obligado a volver a su país. Mientras el tiempo se agota, Simón tiene que debe elegir entre quedarse de forma permanente en Estados Unidos o arriesgar su vida regresando a su país para pelear junto a sus compañeros.
