The concept for KAI was conceived while Fisayo was working as an auditor at KPMG, a time when her fashion and travel blog ‘Mirror Me’ simultaneously gained popularity and began to attract large brand partnerships. Realising that auditing was not fulfilling her creative potential, Fisayo exchanged her traditional career for fashion entrepreneurship, quitting her job to focus on KAI full-time. As for KAI, the rest is history, its main asset the famous ‘Gaia’ print which went viral in 2020, sold out immediately and infiltrated the wardrobes of several a-listed celebrities including Saweetie and Jackie Aina.
