Reign the German Shepherd singing herself Happy Birthday on June 15th, 2024. HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY, REIGN. I love you to the moon and back! Reign is my German Shepherd support dog that needs a spinal decompression surgery. She was first diagnosed with IVDD Type II (Slow onset) on October 6th 2023, but she then relapsed with acute IVDD on May 11th 2024. I am exhausting all avenues to try to save Reign's life, but so far I have found absolutely no support whatsoever and I fear I am losing the battle. A neurologist examined Reign on June 11th, 2024, and these videos were originally intended to show him Reign's progress over the days to follow. Reign is otherwise using a Walkin' Wheels wheelchair because I also have a degenerative spinal condition and I am unable to support her weight of 60 pounds. I have since decided to keep posting as I feel these videos could help others that are in a similar situation. There is very little information out there on how to manage large breed dogs with IVDD. This is my journal on Reign's progress. I hope that this might help others! Reign maintains bladder and bowel control at this time.
