How to start up a piling rig in CFA - IMT A140 in CFA

How to start up a piling rig in CFA - IMT A140 in CFA In this video we will be explaining the step-by-step procedure for rigging up the IMT A140 in Continuous flight auger technology Step one – Connect all sections of the rubber concrete hose to the swanneck, to upper mast u-shaped pipe, as well as the side pipe located on the side of the machine. In some cases, the rubber concrete hose is connected from the CFA concrete pump directly to the swanneck. Step two – Ensure all the hydraulic levers in the hydraulic bay are switched to Kelly bar mode. Although the machine is in CFA right now, the Kelly bar mode allows the pull-down winch and the main winch to be controlled independently. This allows the operator to release the pull down winch rope while lifting the mast. Therefore, not creating tension in the pull-down winch rope, as the mast raises. Step three – Ensure the button on the control board in the cabin is in Kelly bar mode. Step four – Start the engine and select on the G&H Computer the CFA method. Using the tracks expansion button located on the control board in the cabin, extend the tracks to the maximum 3.8 meters width. Caution - Do not attempt any of the rig’s functions without expanding the tracks first, from 2.5 to 3.8 meters width. Step five – Lift the boom all the way up. If the operator attempts to raise the mast when the boom cylinders are not fully extended, the tilting cylinders can damage the cabin or parts of the parallelogram. Step six – Start raising the mast using the two levers located in front of the operator (next to the front window) all the way to the left of the cabin. During this step, ensure the offsider is standing outside of the machine at a safe distance in front of the mast to indicate to the operator if the mast is raising vertically, or too much on the left or too much to the right side. Once the mast has been raised approximately 45 degrees, the operator can rely solely on the inclinometer display in the cabin to raise the mast perfectly straight. Step seven – Once the mast is perfectly vertical, shut down the machine and switch all the hydraulic levers in the hydraulic bay to CFA mode. Switch the drilling mode button in the cabin from Kelly bar to CFA as well. This selection allows the operator to control both the main and the pull-down winch simultaneously. When the main winch pulls up, the crowd winch will release. When the crowd winch winds up, the main winch will release. The operator can use only the main left joystick for this operation. When the left lever is being pushed forward, the crowd winch will create downward crowd force and when the left lever is pulled back, the rotary will come up. Step eight – Start the engine and once the G&H computer initiates – select the CFA method. Step nine – The augers can be fitted to the snorkel or the extension bar, section by section. Now that the machine is fully rigged up, the operator can start the drilling process in CFA. This video does not include the daily maintenance procedure which includes greasing the machine and check-ups.
