Training supervisors to help reduce burnout among public health workers

This webinar is part of the NIOSH Total Worker Health® Webinar Series. Burnout is a real concern among public health professionals. This webinar explores the development of a free, web-based training to address this growing issue. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) developed a training for supervisors to better prevent and address burnout among those they lead. This new training is called “Understanding and Preventing Burnout among Public Health Workers: Guidance for Public Health Leaders.” In this webinar, Chris Cunningham, PhD, Kristen Jennings Black, PhD, and Emily Novicki, MPH, MA, will introduce background on why this training was developed, who developed the training, and the evidence base behind the content. Listeners will learn how they can benefit from the content and practical tools provided in the full training. There is a moderated Q&A session at the end of the webinar.
