After a couple months of punk rock reactions, many of you have been requesting "Send Me Your Money" by Suicidal Tendencies (from their 1990 release "Lights...Camera...Revolution!), and I was truly stoked hearing that Rob can, in fact, shred on bass. He has such a naturally-funky rhythmic style, and it's great to see where it might've originated - even though he still holds back in the fold with Metallica. I talk about his percussive slap technique, a break down of his two RIPPING bass solos, his bass tone, and how this song truly surprised me with some catchy melodic goodness.
