In this video, I take advantage of an unexpected snowstorm to try out ice dyeing on wool yarn. I walk you through the entire process, from preparing the yarn to creating the dye mixture to placing the ice and yarn in a container to the final reveal of the dyed yarn. Ice dyeing is an easy and fun way to create unique and beautiful patterns on fabric, and it's a great way to experiment with colour combinations. The best part is that no two pieces will be exactly the same, so you'll have a one-of-a-kind creation every time. I'll show you how I used Landscape dyes to achieve vibrant, saturated colours on my wool yarn, but you can use different types of dye and fabrics to achieve different effects. Once your yarn is dyed, you can use it to knit or crochet a cosy scarf, hat, or sweater, or even create a decorative wall hanging or tapestry.
