A super intimate set on the back of a tailgate. It was the summer of 2001 and Charlie was in Snyder, TX, working on the movie "Grand Champion" directed by his longtime friend, Barry Tubb. The days were long, but the nights were almost as long thanks to the camaraderie of filmmaking and the friendships made on that film. Charlie treated us to a few songs one night. Yes...that is a Takamine acoustic Flying V guitar. I was a bit apprehensive in starting to film, which is why the first part of the song isn't included. But I felt now that he's gone, it needed to be shared with all of his friends, family, and fans. Rest in peace, Charlie. Shot on a miniDV camera (SD).
