The location for this Commercial shoot was The Grays State Cinema, Essex. The State Cinema Grays in all it's final years of film-showing glory, circa 1986, thanks to the superb manager, the late Roy Roberts, superb showman projectionist, David Stickland and 'Friends of the State' front man and hard-working cheer-leader, Huw Davies, - not to forget friends members Ruth and David Barnes. This place was THE venue for cinema going, and attracted audiences from London, Kent, Hertfordshire, North Essex and Cambridge; such was it's appeal and classy presentation, as seen in this brilliant showcasing advert. Soon to be restored into a Wetherspoons; which is better than being pulled-down. Apparently, Wetherspoons want it to still be able to project films and have the organ played. The previously stolen pipes have apparently materialised and an organ builder has said that the instrument is not beyond being able to be fully restored to it's former glory.
