This has to be one of the most-requested of all The 'Kettles songs. It is a genuine, old-fashioned country tear jerker, co-written by legendary Aussie singer/songwriter Shorty Ranger, and Ivy Waters...and, it is performed to perfection by Bill, Ross & Max Kettle. It was released in Australia in January 1970 as the flipside of a Hadley 45, HS-10. The A. side of the original release was "I'll Take You Back", which I've also uploaded to YouTube. It wasn't too long, however, before Hadley realised that the flipside was, in fact, far more popular that the A. side. As a result, a four track EP titled "Toy Telephone:" was released some six months later...and, this was followed up by an LP of the same name.
