A Day in the Life | Minnesota & Iowa Wild Hockey Defenseman Dakota Mermis

Follow along on an offseason day with Alton native and ‪@mnwild‬ organization Defenseman, Dakota Mermis. Mermis takes through a typical day in East Alton, just thirty minutes outside St. Louis, where he trains at Elite Hockey Facility located at East Alton Ice Arena. Tyler Elbrecht, long time friend and former professional hockey player puts Dakota though skills and drills where Dakota gives us some highlights before ending with some conditioning. Growing up Mermis spent time playing for the St. Louis AAA Blues, US National Development Program, NCAA at the ‪@uofdenver‬ , and the London Knights in the OHL where he was a captain. Although he was undrafted, Mermis has managed to play over 30 games in the NHL for the ‪@ArizonaCoyotes‬, ‪@njdevils‬, and the ‪@mnwild‬. After the skate, Dakota takes us across the river to Brentwood, Missouri where he meets his strength & conditioning coach, Brock Wilson at his gym, Force Performance. Force Performance has been equipped with ‪@SorinexExerciseEquipment‬ and state of the art laser tracking from Perch Fit. Brock puts Dakota through his NHL testing to help him prepare for the upcoming 2022-2023 season and measures his data to program accordingly.
