Fuel Diamond year long test results

After my year long test of the Fuel Diamond fuel catalyst, I didnt find any real benefit at all, and it didn't do anything of what it claimed when tested side by side with an untreated sample. If you consider, this sized product is to treat 60 litres at a time, so my small sample would have been well within its capabilities. The sales bumf states Fuel Diamond The fuel diamond is very simple to use, simply drop the fuel diamond into your petrol tank via the filler pipe. The fuel diamond reduces the risk of the petrol in your fuel tank going stale over winter lay offs in fact if you have a car or motor cycle that you do not often refuel due to little use the fuel diamond would be ideal for you to use. It stops the what can be a rapid drop in octane It stops the change in fuel colour It stops emulsification If fuel becomes stale in your tank it can make starting difficult it can block fuel lines carb jets fuel pumps etc. Now there is no need to drain your fuel tank during lay offs which can allow moisture to enter the tank and fuel system. The fuel diamond is guaranteed for 5 years it will treat a fuel tank of up to 60 litres refill after refill after refill. If your fuel tank is larger than 60 litres simply put more than one fuel diamond in your fuel tank. Will protect against ethanol petrol - E5, E10, E15....................... After a year, half of the fuel had evaporated, and the untreated sample had discoloured a little, but that may or may not have been down to me dropping in test items that may or may not have been spotless beforehand. Neither sample seemed to absorb any atmospheric water whatsoever, and didn't stop the drop in octane. The untreated sample behaved in exactly the same way, and didn't damage any of the random carb parts that I dropped in. Although the stale fuel failed to start my old Lister DK, engine, it did actually run it after starting it with fresh fuel, although the exhaust fumes didn't smell great. It is of course a TVO engine and has a fuel vaporiser on the exhaust manifold, so it will burn anything remotely combustible. I dont believe these products do anything whatsoever, but thousands are sold every year and users claim miraculous results within minutes of dropping them in, even though countless tests have proved them to be no more than Snake Oil. Only you can decide if it's for you. UPDATE:::: A week later it just entered my mind that when I tested the samples for water absorption, I should have said that although half of the sample contents had evaporated, the ethanol content still seemed to be the same at about 4% which means something, probably that it evaporates at the same rate as the petrol. I also should have mentioned that the ethanol and petrol still seemed to be mixed together and hadn't separated into layers, which could be seen in the video.
