The Hollies - 'Stop! Stop! Stop!' live on Colour Me Pop, 7th September 1968

The Hollies performing 'Stop! Stop! Stop!' with a live vocal over the studio track on the infamous BBC show 'Colour Me Pop' on 7th September, 1968. This broadcast was long-lost, but a black and white telerecording survived in a foreign TV archive and was only recently returned to the BBC via the team at 'Missing Believed Wiped' in 2019. The only re-broadcast that any part of the show has had is this clip of 'Stop! Stop! Stop!', which was shown on Dutch TV in 2022 with the original studio recording replacing the original partially live audio. Here I have restored the original audio and re-edited the clip slightly to remove some of the colour graphics added by the TV station that recently showed the clip. The Hollies' performance on 'Colour Me Pop' was recorded to promote their new best-of LP, 'Hollies Greatest' in the UK, which was released following their failure to record a follow up album to 'Butterfly' in 1968.
