Italian schools on a virtual trip aboard our Saipem 7000! The first #CodyTrip virtual school trip dedicated to offshore wind energy was organized in collaboration with Saipem on board Saipem 7000 our semi-submersible crane vessel, flagship of the Saipem fleet. A unique experience that allowed students to see up close how the major engineering activities for large energy infrastructures are carried out. The initiative is part of the CodyTrip series, virtual school trips set up during Covid, which uses live stream connections, multimedia content and online surveys to answer questions and interact with the remote guide. Nearly 27,000 primary and middle school students from over 850 Italian cities were accompanied by a guide via live stream on board the Saipem 7000 in the North Sea. After a helicopter flyover of the Neart Na Gaoithe (NnG) wind farm under construction off the east coast of Scotland, the students landed on the Saipem 7000 where they met the captain, the site manager, as well as engineers and technicians involved in project execution.
