The box from a cake mix? Am I serious? Yep! I’m taking the second step in the ‪@PaperTerrace‬ Dollar Tree Junk Journal Challenge and making the journal cover - inside and out! I chose to use a boxed cake mix for the cardboard and I demonstrate how to finish it off and prepare it for signature papers using the acrylic paint from the Dollar Tree, also from the Dollar Tree. I also create a beautiful collage for the front of the new journal with supplies, again, from the Dollar Tree. I hope you enjoy seeing how easy it is to use a recycled food package and other inexpensive supplies to make a lovely cover for your own journal project.
