The most ironic cover you will ever see. This song is from EA's former Visceral Games' series "Dead Space". It is one of the greatest Sci-Fi Horror franchises ever created, and the trilogy as a whole is an exquisite masterpiece. "Ephemeral" plays at the end credits of Dead Space 3. I listened to this song on accident one day trying to find some new music in the metal scene. I immediately found myself enticed by how magnificent an instrumental alone can sound. As cliche and ridiculously overused, it almost literally felt as though the song was saying words to me. To be particular, "nothing lasts forever" within the cleaner interlude in the middle of it. I decided to make my name "fmo-ral." as a play on the word "ephemeral", as this song created a very huge impact in how I see the world, especially as of recently. It's important to value the special moments and sentiments you make with other people in your life before they simply become memories. Nothing ever truly lasts forever, so cherish and live "for the moment". I made this song a mix of retro vid game sound (N64, Atari, Sega Genesis, etc.) mixed with that nice Lo-Fi sound I enjoy a whole lot. I had a lot of fun making this cover, even if it did take me the span of several months out of pure procrastination. Overall a joy to create every second of it. Thank you to Pelican for making an exquisite work of art that I will cherish in this continuous life that I have yet to fully live out in its entirety, and to Visceral Games for a kick-ass sci-fi horror video game series. You guys deserved so much better and I really hope that Callisto Protocol only continues to demonstrate the unlimited potential the former company you were part of showed within its prime. -For the moment.
