Enslaved: Odyssey to the West did not deserve to fail as it did. Bandai Namco set expectations too high and didn't push the marketing enough, along with releasing it in a crowded window. This resulted in poor sales numbers causing them to cancel the sequel. The talent of Andy Serkis, the rest of the cast, Ninja Theory and Alex Garland all came together and made Enslaved: Odyssey to the West a great game which received praise from all major game journalists. It had a couple of small issues like most games do but not enough for the game to tank as it did. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West deserves some more recognition, even all these years later because it really did not deserve to fail.
