Peru: Expedition Nevado Alpamayo (5947 m), the most beautiful mountain in the world | with president of the 7 Summits Club, Alexander Abramov. Peru is one of the most impressive places for mountaineering in the world, and Huaraz is the mountaineering capital of South America, close to beautiful mountains both in the Cordillera Blanca and Huayhuash. In May 2015 we experienced one of the most memorable moments of our lives, climbing the most beautiful mountain on the planet, Nevado Alpamayo, 5947m or 19,511 feet tall. This expedition was a reconnaissance mission for famous Russian climber and president of the seven summits club, Alexander Abramov, and his wife, Ludmila Korobeshko, along with local Peruvian guides Eric Albino and Octavio Salazar. The expedition lasted 6 days, and every moment we were surrounded by amazing Andean animals, and landscapes such as lagoons, rivers, and the snow-capped Artesonraju, which inspired the logo of PARAMOUNT PICTURES. Until base camp we have the support of cargo donkeys for carrying our gear, and from base camp the porters will help carry our equipment to high camp. The summit assault takes 6 hours on average, ascending a steep, 450 meter wall, and our descent takes about 3 hours.
