This 1976 video is published with the permission of Dr Magda Saleh. In the 70s', the TAHTIB leaders in Egypt were Rayyes Hassan and Rayyes Mahmoud. This video was taken in the region of SOHAG, at Sheikh Shebl. "I was there in 2013 to assemble the Tahtib- Stick Game file for Unesco. I met with Rayyess Hassan still impressive with his Tahtib skills and attitude, also Rayess Fares and the younger generation such as Saad Salem (55y). ...... These Traditional Tahtib masters are part of the Modern Tahtib Instructors Certification Jury, scheduled on March 25th 2017. They will assess the PRACTICE SKILLS. Other Jury members will assess the TRAINING SKILLS and the DEVELOPMENT SKILLS. .... You might notice the special feint used by Rayyess Hassan when changing the holding hand.
