Part 7 Begin Sardegna, Jan Three Months in Europe

This episode is the beginning of a month in Sardegna. We start at Santa Teresa Gallura at the north end of Sardegna, just a 2 hour ferry ride from Bonifacio, Corsica. Then a bus to Alghero, which was one of the primary destinations of the visit to Europe. Fotos show the lungomare of Alghero, il centro storico, here and there around town. Alghero, with a population of about 45,000 is large enough to have a sizable tourist area, its very popular in the summer, but also just a regular Italian town with a remarkable history, located out in the Med. There was the Nuraghic culture, Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Aroganese, Byzantines, settlers from Catalonia. Awesome! I love it. I have had [and still do] fantasies of living in Alghero. So some show and tell of Alghero and then, responding to an e mail invite, I left the next day to visit a couple with a 1.5 acre rural property where they are in the early going of making permaculture happen. Carlo teaches surfing and there was a swell my first day there. Great visit. After 4 days I left for Solemenis which will be start of Part 8.
