Grand Tourer Ep6 Barnfind ESP - Pleased to present this first barnfind episode on the channel and what a corker it is. I've long admired the XD, XE and to a much lesser extent the XF and XG Falcons. Why? The European Ford Granada of course and in particular the Mk2 2.8i Ghia X. If you're a car loving child of the 1980s, the Ghia X would definitely have been on your radar. But a 2.8 V6 was as big a block it ever got in the northern hemisphere whereas down under, the similarly styled Falcon of the period got a whopping great 4.9 litre V8. In this video I travel across town to witness a 1984 XE Fairmont Ghia ESP being pulled from its garage for the first time in eight years. Now the Fairmont is supposedly the posher end of the Falcon range which begs the question, why the Ghia moniker as well.
