Eligibility Criteria ∎ For Secondary (10th) Admission: Age: Minimum 14 years as of 31st July of the academic year. Educational Qualification: No formal education required. However, a class 8th pass certificate is desirable. ∎ For Senior Secondary (12th) Admission: Age: Minimum 15 years as of 31st July of the academic year. Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board. 2. Admission Categories New Admission: For students enrolling for the first time. Transfer of Credit (TOC): For students who have failed in other boards and wish to transfer credits. Improvement Admission: For students who have passed but wish to improve their scores. 3. Required Documents Birth Certificate (for age proof) Aadhar Card (for identity proof) Address Proof (Aadhar card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) Passport-sized photographs Previous educational qualifications (e.g., 8th pass certificate for 10th admission, 10th pass certificate for 12th admission) Caste/Disability certificate if applicable Transfer Certificate/Marksheet from the previous board for failed students TOC certificate if applicable 4. Admission Process ∎ Step-by-Step Guide: Visit the Official NIOS Website: Go to https://www.nios.ac.in Registration: Click on “Register” for a new enrollment. Select the appropriate stream: Stream 1 (Block I and II) for new admissions, Stream 2 for failed students from other boards, Stream 3 and 4 for TOC and improvement. Fill the Online Application Form: Enter personal details, address, and educational qualifications. Choose the subjects you wish to enroll in (minimum of 5 subjects required). Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of the required documents. Payment of Fees: The fee can be paid online using a credit/debit card, net banking, or through bank challan.
