Originally performed and recorded by Caterina Valente, this piece was also popularised by hardbop saxophonist Hank Mobley from this album "Dippin'" which also featured Kenny Dorham on trumpet. This arrangement was adapted for this quintet from the English recorded version by Eydie Gorme from her 1963 album "Blame It On The Bossa Nova" (arrangement by Nick Perito). This concert was part of the inaugural performance of my jazz orchestra - The Julian Chan Jazz Orchestra (JCJO), held at the Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) Theatre Hall. We performed this in conjunction with the Spectrum Music Festival 2018, organised by KL DiverseCity and DPAC. A big thanks to DPAC for supporting me in bringing my jazz orchestra to light for the first time.
