The plaintiff is a retired police detective who owns a video surveillance company. He claims the defendant’s grandson vandalized his equipment, so he’s suing for damaged property. The defendant is raising her grandson and granddaughter and says her grandson is an honor roll student who also takes care of his sister. She admits her grandson was involved, but says he was with two other friends, so they should be sued too.
