Fetal Biophysical Profile - Imaging Study Lecture *You have to face copyright issue for reuploading this video anywhere* In 1980, Manning and his colleagues developed biophysical profile scoring to assess fetal well being. They fashioned a method for fetal surveillance in high-risk pregnancies that combine fetal heart rate monitoring with various ultrasound derived variables. Their technique was later modified by various scientists to make it easier & time-consuming. Five biophysical parameters are assessed individually and in combinations. Each of the five categories represents a separate mini evaluation of fetal behaviour or function. These are a combination of acute and chronic markers. Thank you for watching.
