Chemo Session #1 w/ Taxotere & Cytoxan//Cold Capping w/ Penguin Cold Caps

This was my first chemo session with Taxotere and Cytoxan. It was also my first time cold capping. Cold capping is a very involved process but is done to preserve one’s hair. It is SOOO cold!! I spent about 8.5 hours of the day doing the cold capping. The chemo session itself was pretty chill - just sitting there while the meds go thru. I used iced gloves and iced socks to prevent neuropathy from the Taxotere and I sucked on ice to prevent mouth sores. At the end of the session, they placed the Neulasta on-plant on my stomach. I felt really good after I finished chemo and cold capping so hubby and I took our dogs for a walk. I drank an entire gallon of water and ate all of my food that I had meal prepped. **Sorry I said UMM like 732 times in this video! I do say umm a lot but I’m going to blame this excess on the cold capping 😂 **
