Original mono audio of heat ray without pre-firing strum at 0:07, followed by same scene with strum at 0:33 added in restoration audio, to match the blinking light. Isn't quite right because it lacks the build-up as heard elsewhere, so it should have started earlier while the ray was at a distance. But this is quibbling over an outstanding audio re-creation. The restoration also adds an effective impact fx when the heat ray hits the viewer at 0:44, and foliage. The blu-ray releases include both original mono and restored audio options.
