"Vocal Modes" are a feature of Synthesizer V Studio Pro which can change the singing style of Synthesizer V AI Singers that are compatible with it. They are often compared to "Appends" of other singing synthesis software, though Vocal Modes tend have a more subtle distinction from the default voice. As of writing this (12/02/2022), all Synthesizer V AI vocals are capable of using Vocal Modes, though some may need to be updated to newer versions in order to utilize them. Keep in mind that “Lite” AI Vocals, Standard vocals, or Feature-Limited Trials cannot make use of Vocal Modes. "Cross-Lingual Synthesis" ( Often colloquially shortened to "XLS" ) is a feature of Synthesizer V Studio Pro, which allows Synthesizer V AI Singers to sing in languages aside from their default language with a decent degree of fluency. All Full commercial Synthesizer V AI vocals are capable of using this feature, though AI Lite and Standard vocals cannot. My intention is to make more of these videos as I acquire more vocals, and as others I already own acquire additional Vocal Modes. Haruno Sora(桜乃そら) is a Japanese AI singer managed by AH Software. She is voiced by Kikuko Inoue. She was released August 24, 2023, alongside an accompanying VOICEPEAK database for speech. Haruno Sora is a vocal of very unique circumstances that has led to much theorizing about the nature of her conception. Specifically, it is strongly believed by that Haruno Sora was originally meant to be a VOCALOID adaptation of the Garageband vocals from the Macne Family, Macne Coco White, and Macne Coco Black. The Macne Family was a series of sample packs, conceptualized and created by Haruna Ikezawa as a Mac-friendly solution to the issue of there being no major vocal-synth software equivalent to VOCALOID ( which didn't become Mac-compatible until 2013 ). In 2009, Haruna herself voiced the first two vocals of the Macne Family, "Macne Nana" and "Macne Nana Petit" ( later renamed to simply "Macne Petit" ) as voice libraries to be used in Garageband. The Macne Family became quite popular, and received various additional vocals, namely Macne Coco White and Black ( both voiced by Kikuko Inoue ), Macne Papa ( voiced by Jouji Nakata ), and Whisper☆Angel Sasayaki ( voiced by Haruna Ikezawa ). On January 31, 2014, Macne Nana received a release to compliment VOCALOID NEO, the first Mac-compatible version of the VOCALOID software, which had only released the month prior. Alongside Nana's default Japanese library, she received an English-speaking VOCALOID library as well. Originally, Nana's VOCALOID libraries were released as VOCALOID STORE exclusives. However, when the VOCALOID STORE closed in 2016, the rights to Nana were transferred to AH Software. Later that year, Macne Nana received an update to VOCALOID4 through AHS, including a new library for Macne Petit. However, ever since then, the Macne Family had gone silent. In July of 2018, AH Software released Haruno Sora on the newly-released VOCALOID5 engine, and on VOICEROID2. She was a completely new character who shared a voicer with Macne Coco. Her VOCALOID5 release came with 2 libraries, "Natural" and "Cool". These two seemed to be equivalent to the Cocos, with "Natural" being similar to Coco White, and "Cool" being equivalent to Coco "Black". Because of this, and the fact that AHS owned the rights to Nana, it is believed that Haruno Sora was originally meant to be Macne Coco "White" and "Black" respectively, but for reasons unknown, she had instead become a different character. In mid-2023, AHS announced that Sora would be receiving a song library for Synthesizer V AI, and a speech library for VOICEPEAK, which had released later in the year. Haruno Sora has 5 Vocal Modes, "Sweet", "Soft", "Adult", "Pop", and "Cool". "Cool" seems to be equivalent to her VOCALOID5 library of the same name, whereas her default tone replicates her "Natural" library.
