The Gretsch Catalina Club bop kit is back in the studio, this time with Remo Fiberskyns on the toms (Ambassadors on batter, Diplomats on reso) and a Remo Fiberskyn Powerstroke 3 on the bass drum (batter). Performed by Gabriel Landa. . . This 2020 limited edition kit we used features a Rosewood gloss. It has been slightly upgraded: we replaced the standard 1.6 mm hoops with the thicker 2.3 mm hoops. The unfinished insides of the shells have been finished using Tung oil, and the bearing edges have been sanded to maximize even contact. . . You can find these for about $700 new as a 4-piece kit. This configuration is: 18 x 14 Bass Drum 12 x 8 Tom 14 x 14 Floor Tom . .
