It was a tough season for Sebastian Vettel, RedBull Racing. Sebastian and three other drivers Lewis Hamilton [Mclaren F1], Fernando Alonso [Scuderia Ferrari], and his teammate Mark Webber [RedBull Racing], dubbed one of the most interesting formula 1 season, with four world champion contenders. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (Nov 14th), the final race of the 2010 season. The then leader in the championship points Alonso qualified 3rd on the starting grid - who later in the race dropped to 7th place - Lewis in 2nd on starting grid and remained second throughout the race, and Mark starting at 5th but later drops to 8th right behind Alonso. Vettel took the checkered flag driving the RedBull RB6, starting in pole and ending there, crowning him the 2010 World Champion F1 Driver as he also overtook Lewis's title to become the youngest ever Formula 1 World champion at 23 and RedBull Constructors Champion. In the middle of the 2011 season, the World Championship became down to Jenson Button [Mclaren F1] and Vettel. Coming up to the race in Japan (Oct 9th), in March of that year, Japan suffered a 9.1 magnitude earthquake and tsunami with 30-foot waves all over destroying many parts of Japan and many lost their lives. Vettel was able to qualify pole position and Button in 2nd. As the race unfolded, many Vettel was left to challenges on the first lap in the first corner Button was able to quickly overtake Vettel. The race ended with Button in 1st, Alonso in 2nd and Vettel 3rd. Before the race, Vettel was already leading the championship with 309points, making him the 2011 World Champion F1 Driver - his 2nd world champion title driving the RedBull RB7 and RedBull in Constructors Champion. 2012 one of the best formula 1 season of all time, with 7 world champions on the grid, 7 different race winners for the first 7 races, the return of Kimi Räikkönen, Michael Schumacher’s final year in F1and many on grid dramas… It was a tough season for Vettel, with Alonso right on his tail, giving us a very interesting season. With the famous pitlane to podium race in Abu Dhabi, it all came down to the very last race. Brazil (Nov 25th), before the race Vettel was leading in the world championship with 275 points, not by much off Alonso 260 points. In a dramatic final race of the season, Sebastian started ahead of Alonso in 4th and Alonso four positions behind in 8th. With only light rain just 10 minutes before the start, all teams opted to start on slick tires. As green light struck Vettel got away poorly instantly dropping to 7th, while Alonso moves into 5th. Vettel and Senna than collided at turn 4 which dramatically altered the race, Vettel suffered damages to the RedBull RB8 and was resorted to last place. Sebastian began to move up the order, as there was close racing for position at the front of the field as well. The race ended with Vettel in 6th and Alonso in 2nd. But with the points in 6th place crowned Sebastian a 3 time 2012 World Champion F1 Driver and RedBull in Constructors Champion. 2013 F1 season, Sebastian broke the record for most consecutive wins in a single season with nine. Vettel's record tally of 13 wins included a controversial victory at the Malaysian Grand Prix that came when he defied team orders, overtaking teammate Mark Webber late in the race to secure victory. Vettel's other wins came in Bahrain, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Korea, Japan, India, Abu Dhabi, the United States, and Brazil. Being crowned the 2013 World Champion F1 Driver by winning in the Indian Grand Prix (Oct 27th) and opening an unassailable 115 point gap with only three races remaining, making & breaking multiple records in 1 year.
