Enhancing change of direction speed and agility in the real world with Molly Binetti

Molly Binetti is this week’s guest on the Pacey Performance Podcast. She’s an experienced name in college sport, and is currently the Director of Women’s Basketball Performance at the University of South Carolina following various roles as a coach at the University of Louisville, Purdue University, and the University of Minnesota. Although she’s currently specialising in basketball, Molly’s previous experience includes S&C in volleyball, softball, tennis, diving, cheerleading, and baseball. As Director of Women’s Performance at one of the leading women’s basketball teams in the United States, Molly is ideally placed to provide her expertise on change direction performance and testing options, including an emphasis on jump testing. She also provides insight into open drills and closed drills, what to look for in an athlete’s movement, and how to avoid ‘over coaching’ athletes. Molly naturally has excellent knowledge of how to specifically coach women, which she goes into here. In addition, Molly also provides plenty of hints and tips on isometric training, eccentric training, and the ideal programming for different levels of athlete. Details like this are what makes Molly such a superb source of information and a fascinating listen. To hear all this and much more (including the best warm up games prior to a training session!) simply hit the play button now.
