I do like to constantly look for improvements, and I think most of us look for not just function but also how something looks. If it looks good we're more likely to buy it, want it, make it etc. If it looks good and doesn't function, well that's no good, so it needs to function first and then we can focus on the looks. The inside corner has been something I've wanted to test for a long time, I've often thought that the fillet is strong, and I've seen stress testing on metals, and we use circular cutouts in wood as well which have proven to be quite durable connections which have stood the test of time, so do these same techniques apply directly to 3D printing.
