The Great Ridge : Mam Tor to Lose Hill : Peak District Walks

The Great Ridge walk from Mam Tor to Lose hill is an absolutely wonderful walk for all the family. If you pick a good weather day you will be rewarded with breathtaking views down into the Hope and Edale valleys. This particular walk sets off from Edale train station and makes it's way up Mam Tor and along the Great Ridge towards Lose Hill to finish off at Hope train station to allow you to get the train back to Edale. Total distance is approximately 10 km and takes around 3 to 4 hours. There is a National trust carpark at the base of Mam Tor itself if you wish to just walk along the ridge and back to Mam Tor.
