The King of Fighters 2000 [Arcade]: Single Mode Playthrough with Athena Asamiya [Level 4]

Note: Similar to KOF '99, this KOF does not feature the full team ending in Single mode even if both characters are from a canon team, so once again I have spliced in the Psycho Soldier Team story cutscenes into this video to give full context of their side of the involvement in the story. Also, once again, Athena is only allowed to use the Continue Service unless she loses a significant amount of times (10+ losses) 0:00 Set-up 0:22 Intro & Title Screen 0:47 How to Play and Character Select 1:47 Maxima - K' Team 3:22 Jhun Hoon - Korea Team 4:39 Mai Shiranui - Women's Team 6:07 Seth - Benimaru Team 8:59 Andy Bogard - Fatal Fury Team 10:25 Clone Zero Intermission 1 11:27 Sie Kensou - Psycho Soldier Team 17:17 Clone Zero Intermission 2 19:14 Clone Zero (SNK BOSS - Totally not that Han from Hokuto no Ken 2) 35:52 Clone Zero (begin use of Continue Service) 44:19 Clone Zero Defeated 45:06 Psycho Soldier Ending 46:12 Single Mode/Edit Team Ending 46:57 Credits After a small hiatus, we're back with Athena's trek through past KOF games, this time stopping at KOF 2000. This game is the last KOF game made by the original SNK, and does indeed feel like quite the sendoff. Gameplay wise, it's very similar to KOF '99, but slightly more refined (back rolling was returned for an example). Although I couldn't use the Arranged version of the soundtrack, the songs in this game are what really got me into SNK music, and the game's presentation is quite topnotch compared to KOF '99 (it is also the only KOF game that actually has losequotes when you're defeated in single player mode). Athena's outfit here is also a slept on favorite, as I always liked it's design and boots. The game itself is actually kind of short, but the final boss indeed makes up for that by giving the Psycho Idol issues for quite a while (it feels like Zero is much easier in Team Mode than Single). Next up: (and something I'm really dreading...) KOF 2001, where Athena unfortunately has to meet up with two of the most cheap SNK Bosses in SNK history...
