999 Lossless in Salmon Run Freelance [Bonerattle Arena]

I do Freelance here and there, and I figured I should maybe upload some games. Honestly a very useful tool no matter your skill level, even for players at top level of Overfishing. I left the squad after each shift to keep randomizing players. Although, towards the end I would find the same players more often due to limited matchmaking (took about 200 seconds to find a match towards the end). A few sloppy moments here and there, as well as unnecessary deaths. But, not bad overall. For anyone curious to improve their Freelance, here are some things I generally keep in mind for these shifts: 1. Bosses over Golden Eggs While this can differ between teams, Freelancers will often gravitate towards the easier way to contribute which is by collecting eggs, particularly basket eggs. Or simply struggle to keep up with bosses since they require a high pace to be all dealt with. As such, bosses are more likely to be left unattended. With that in mind I often take responsibility to clear the field. Even if it means taking on bosses not favourable for my weapon. Of course, learning to multitask egg running through those kills as well as understanding when eggs must be prioritized is important. But, it's uncommon that Freelancers will need help with this. Especially when the presence of too many bosses is often what prevents players from running eggs in the first place. 2. Adaptability As you might know strategies can help pass waves more easily. However, when your idea on how to play the wave clashes with that of another you should ALWAYS be the one that adapts your strategies to best benefit your teammates. For example, usually luring bosses can be beneficial, but if a player attempts to kill one far it's better to help them rather than trying to enforce your strategies, potentially getting the player killed by doing so. Or if you like playing Big Shot, but the entire team is already present there it's on you to take the first step to leave and ensure other spawns are covered, and so on. This can be more difficult than it appears. As not only does it require you to understand how to best fit what your teammates are doing. It also requires the awareness to quickly analyze at any point in the wave where teammates and bosses are. 3. Specials are preserved for passing waves As someone who often showcases Overfishing, it's worth noting that there's a big difference in special usage. In Overfishing they are always used to maximize the amount of eggs. However, in Freelance they are preserved in cases where it's necessary to pass the wave. As nice as it may be to use Crab on Mothership or boost egg scores in other ways. They might come in handy later to pass a difficult wave. These aren't really revolutionary strategies, but I figured I would include them just in case it helps people by sharing my view on it.
